Trip Log...Kalahari Gemsbok Park

Our trip back to Pretoria was very uneventful.  In a way, it was very disappointing knowing that time was drawing to a close.

We met up with our friend Daniel and enjoyed a few nights chilling and making new plans.

The Kalahari Gemsbok ParkTaking a breather....

Prior to visiting the park, we spent a few days in the Augrabies Falls campsite.  We spent an ideal day hiking through the valley and exploring the countryside.

The Kalahari Gemsbok Park is one of South Africa's many game parks.  This park, offers excellent game viewing of Gemsbok (or Oryx) and Cheetah's.  Our first night was spent at Twee Rivieren, before heading for Mata Mata and finally onto the Nossob campsite.

We really enjoyed the Mata Mata campsite as it offered the best game viewing.  It was extremely hot during this time, thus the game would only venture to the water early morning and late evening.

This is a very beautiful part of the South Africa!

On route to the park...

And so, our trip came to an end.  10000Km later we arrived back in Pretoria.  Six weeks later we flew to London to start the next leg of our life story.  The memories and time spent on the road were good.  Perhaps one day we will pack our trustworthy Land Rover and head back for our beloved Southern Africa.  A land that charms and captivates a persons heart! Viva Africa Viva!!
